The Kibera Slum is located in Nairobi Kenya.  Recently, a group set out to collect data about the slum.  This data was published on their website.  The mapKibera project is a creative initiative.  Spatial information about Kibera was not documented until 2009.  Using data posted on the mapkibera.org website, students conducted some spatial analysis and created visual maps showing their results.  This project was completed for a CGU4U/C - Urban Geography class (grade 12) as well as CGO4M (Geomatics).
